American painter Andrew Wyeth has died at the age of 91. He was most famous for his painting Christina's World.

"It depicts Christina Olson, who had an undiagnosed muscular deterioration that paralyzed her lower body—likely Polio.She, her brother, and Wyeth's neighbors are the subjects of a number ofpaintings of Wyeth. Surprisingly, although Christina is the artisticsubject of Wyeth's masterpiece, she was not the model - Wyeth's wifeBetsy instead posed for the painting.
